BROADNET is both a membership-based radio club and a public repeater system serving the Amateur Radio and GMRS communities throughout the New York metropolitan area.
Our club provides education, training, technical support, emergency preparedness programs, and community activities for its members, while our repeater systems are open to all properly licensed operators in accordance with FCC regulations.
Whether you’re a new operator, a visiting station, or a long-time member, you’ll find a welcoming community dedicated to promoting reliable communications, technical excellence, emergency preparedness, and public service.

Repeater Access
BROADNET repeater systems are open to all operators holding the appropriate FCC license.
Club membership is NOT required to use our repeater systems.
Whether you are a local operator or visiting from another area, we welcome you to enjoy our systems while following FCC regulations and good operating practices.
Operating Rules & FCC Compliance
All operators are expected to comply with all applicable FCC rules and regulations while using any BROADNET repeater system.
Licensing Requirements
GMRS license holders may only use the BROADNET GMRS repeater unless they also hold a valid FCC Amateur Radio license.
Amateur Radio (Ham) license holders may only use the BROADNET Amateur Radio repeaters unless they also hold a valid FCC GMRS license.
Operators who hold both a valid FCC Amateur Radio license and a valid FCC GMRS license are welcome to use both systems in accordance with FCC regulations.
Operating Requirements
All operators are expected to:
Follow all applicable FCC rules and regulations.
Properly identify using their FCC-issued call sign.
Operate courteously and professionally at all times.
Respect other users and maintain good operating practices.
Keep transmissions suitable for a family-friendly communications environment.
Intentional interference, music transmissions, obscene or indecent language, harassment, malicious interference, or any other prohibited operation will not be tolerated.
Any unlawful operation or violation of FCC regulations may be documented through system logs, audio recordings, and other available means, and may be referred to the appropriate authorities for further review.
Our goal is to maintain a safe, professional, and respectful communications environment for all licensed operators.
Weekly Net Schedule
Everyone is invited to participate in our weekly nets.
These nets provide an excellent opportunity to practice operating procedures, test your equipment, verify audio quality, become familiar with your radio programming, and enjoy fellowship with fellow operators.

We encourage all licensed operators to check in regularly and become an active part of the BROADNET community.
BROADNET Club Membership
Although membership is not required to use our repeater systems, becoming a BROADNET Club member helps support the operation, maintenance, and continued expansion of our communications network.

Every membership and donation is used exclusively for maintaining, improving, and expanding the BROADNET Repeater Systems & Club. No membership dues or donations are ever used for personal expenses.
